SC Upstate Legacy got 2026 started off on Keowee on 3/7/2026 with 11 teams.
Special thanks to BRUSHY CREEK BAPTIST in Easily for hosting us on Friday night. They opened up their doors and provided an excellent meal of Barbecue and all the fixins. I know the guys really enjoyed it and the time of fellowship.
Jared Sanders delivered a message that reminded us how Paul encouraged Timothy to be faithful to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2nd Timothy. THe FOM Legacy Series is a perfect platform for multigenerational are spending time together focusing on the same goal. While the tournaments are dialed in to fishing and winning, there is so much more that is happening leading up to and during each event. As a Dad who loves to fish, and to spend time with my family I can say that tat time on the water can offer up some great memories and moments to reflect on the MOST important thing in this life; Who is Jesus?
The inspriational meetings that we have help our anglers to encounter Christ. Jared shared how we are ALL sinners, as stated in Romans 3: 23-26, where we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are JUSTIFIED freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Jesus Christ. Have YOU professed faith in Jesus? If not, what's holding you back? Why wouldn't you want to recieve the FREE GIFT of Salvation?

Saturday was finally a wrmer spring day for our anglers. The rain and wind held off for everyone, and every team weighed in a limit.
Its always alot of fun in the Legacy series watching the fun and excitement at weigh in. Its also good to see families show up to watch and cheer them on.

Adam and Reed Smith had 3 fish that bumped the scales to 10.51 lbs.
Adam landed the BIG Fish at 4.34 lbs, and Reed snagged the JR BIG FISH at 3.72 lbs.
