Our very own Alan Thompson was our speaker for the morning meeting. Alan spoke about the temptations we face each day and how Jesus was tempted in the wilderness and how he set an example for us to fight satin. Thank you, Alan, for the awesome message!
We had a record 102 boats for our season opener and paid out over $15,000 in winnings. The bite was slow for most, however, like always a few teams figured them out. The top teams reported catching their fish on crankbaits, jigs and Alabama riggs five to fifteen feet deep. Micheal Fox & Bryan LeFever took 1st place with 20.70 pounds and the big fish of the tournament (6.31 lbs.) and winnings of $5,350. 2nd place went to the team of Zach Pringle & Chuck Douthit with a weight of 20.21 pounds and total winnings of $2,510. Lucas Helms & Kevin Toler weighed 19.55 pounds and earned them $1,540 and 3rd place. 4th place went to the team of Robbie Moffitt with 18.34 pounds and winnings of $1,000. The team of Joseph & Anthony Campbell took 5th place with 17.67 pounds and winnings of $700. Rounding out the teams in the money was 6th place Jason & Rodney Thomas. 7th Bryson Garland & Phillip King. 8th Nathan Ewing & Carson Orellana. 9th Alan Shinn & Micheal Swaringen. 10th Steve Addington & Scott Beattie. 11th Cody Hoyle. 12th Roger Hoover. 13th Hunter & Todd Alexander. 14th Michael Kinard & Aaron Harwood. 15th Joshua & Judson Queen. 16th Jarrett Freeze and Rodney Adams. 17th Colby & Corey Lassiter. 18th Rodney Cozart & Mitch Drew. 19th Ricky Poplin and Maurice Freeze. 20th Mark & Zac Ridenhour.
