Welcome to Illinois-Kaskaskia Division

If you are looking for a great bass fishing competition with outstanding payout in the Central Illinois area, then the ILLINOIS-KASKASKIA Division of Fishers of Men is for you. Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail offers a first-class bass fishing experience with an opportunity to advance to District and National competitions. The 2017 season will be the fifth year for the Illinois-Kaskaskia Division Team Series. We are looking forward to a great year of fishing, fun and fellowship.

The Friday night pre-tournament meetings prior to each event, are what sets Fishers of Men apart from other trails. Many of our anglers have told us that the meeting is their favorite part of the tournament weekend. With the good food (usually home cooked) and great fellowship, its easy to see why. Many of our teams have made friendships that will last a lifetime. Our members and their families along with guests are spiritually encouraged and challenged by messages from inspirational speakers. Mail form and fees to: Dave Doty, Director Illinois-Kaskaskia Division 215 North Church St. Bethany, IL 61914.  Each member must pay annual membership fee of $40.00. However, if you and your partner live in the same household, you qualify for a Gold Membership which is $55.00 and covers both members. Entry fees must be received by the Monday before each event. A late fee of $25.00 will be charged for entry fees received after the deadline and for those who pay at the Friday evening meeting. As an option, all entry fees, membership fees and Bonus Bucks (optional) may be paid for the entire season. This payment method eliminates the hassle of deadlines and paying late fees. We will refund any fees that you have paid if you can not attend if tournament director is notified prior to Saturday morning launch. As always, you may continue to pay for each tournament one at a time, but please remember to get your entry fees in on time to avoid late fees.

Fishers of Men and BASS Partnership:

Again in 2017 Fishers of Men has partnered with BASS to provide an opportunity for our teams to advance to the Bassmaster Team Championship and the possibility of fishing the BASSMASTER CLASSIC. First, each team must join BASS by paying a $10 membership fee (per angler) which includes 10 issues of the Bass Times magazine. This magazine will include articles for select FOM events. The membership fee will be paid to your director along with your FOM membership. (See membership/entry form) Next, teams must qualify for the FOM National Championship by winning the Division Points Championship or by qualifying in a District Championship. (Finish in the top 20 %) The top teams in the FOM National Championship will advance to the Bassmaster Team Championship. The number of slots is determined by how many FOM teams join BASS (1 slot for every 50 teams joining BASS). The top 3 teams will then compete as 6 individuals in the Bassmaster Team Classic Qualifier. The winner will advance to the BASSMASTER CLASSIC!!!

Payout for Divisional Events:

We pay one place for every five boats entered. Example: 25 boats: 1st- $1155, 2nd - $510, 3rd - $340, 4th - $220, 5th - $150

District Championships: In order to qualify for the District 11 Championship Tournament, teams must fish no less than three Illinois-Kaskaskia Division events and finish in the top 80% in points for the division. District 11 is made up of Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota, so our National Qualifier will be close to home and will cut down on travel expenses. If you fish all five divisional events and attend at least 3 pre-tournament meetings you are then eligible to fish in any District Championship Tournament nationwide and you may fish in as many as you want. (see rule 19 http://www.fomntt.com/strenteamrules.cfm ) All of our events for the Illinois-Kaskaskia Division will continue to be "NO OFF LIMITS" for 2017. Meaning you can fish up to and including the day before the tournament. Please check the website often for the latest, most accurate information. In addition to the Team events listed below, we will be holding two open events this year: Our annual Toby Shafer Memorial Tournament will be held June 3, 2017 on Lake Shelbyville and new for this year, we will hold a Guys and Gals Tournament on July 8, 2017 on Lake Shelbyville.
