About This Division
If you are looking for great bass fishing competition with an outstanding payout in the Albemarle Sound area, then the NC EAST DIVISION of Fishers of Men is for you!
Our average total payout is around $2500 or more per event. Of course, this varies depending on the number of teams entered in each tournament. The Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail offers a first-class bass fishing experience with an opportunity to advance to District and National competitions.
The 2020 season will be the 14th year for the NC East Division Team Series. We are looking forward to another great year of fishing, fun, and fellowship.
Pre-Tournament Meetings: Our pre-tournament meetings are held the Friday night prior to each tournament, is what sets Fishers of Men apart from other trails. We have great food, prizes, and an inspirational message at each meeting. Our anglers tell us that the meeting is their favorite part of the tournament weekend. The fellowship with other anglers is eagerly anticipated at each event. Many of our members have made friendships that will last a lifetime. Our members and guests are spiritually encouraged and challenged by messages from inspirational speakers. The tournament details and the drawing for the blast-off starting positions will be done during the meeting.
Some of the 2019 Highlights Kirk Wall and Charlie Reed won the 2019 NC East Division Points Championship! Their Points Championship qualified them for the Berkley Team Series National Championship. Tommy Houlroyd and Brandon Overton also qualified for the National Championship by way of their finish in the National Qualifiers. We wish both teams good luck in the National event. The National Championship tournament will be held on Harris Chain of Lakes, March 12, 13, and 14 in Leesburg, Florida. The tournament will be hosed by the Greater Orlando Sports Commission and Lake County.

Both options entitle member(s) to participate in any of the FOM Series including the Berkley Team Series, The Shakespeare Legacy Series, The Abu Garcia UBC Series and the Spiderwire Weeknighter Series. Both memberships are valid from January 1st to December 31 each year. We recommend you join online from the website http://www.fomntt.com and go to the Join Online option from the drop-down menu. If you are unable to join using the on line option, go to the http:// www.fomntt.com website, download and print a copy of the Membership/Entry Form, complete the form and send to your Division Director. Remember to include the $2.50 processing fee. If you would like more information on becoming a member of the NC East Division, please contact Patrick Seigh at 757-641-4990. You may also email him at email@example.com . For more information, you can log on the Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail website at http://www.fomntt.com/index.cfm
Entry Fees: The entry fee for 2020 is $150.00 per boat, per tournament. You may also wish to participate in Bonus Bucks, $25 per boat, per tournament, which is an optional side pot. Bonus Bucks is a 100% payback and is divided in a 50/30/20 split between the top 3 participating teams. Entry fees must be postmarked no less than 8 days prior to the tournament date to avoid the late fee. A late fee of $25 will be charged for entry fees received after the deadline and for those who pay at the Friday night meeting. Mail the completed entry form and your fees to: Patrick Seigh, Director NC East Division, 106 Pine St, Camden, NC 27921. All Entry fees, Membership fees and Bonus Bucks MAY be paid in full for the entire season. This payment method eliminates the hassle of deadlines and paying late fees. As always, you may choose to pay for each tournament one at a time throughout the season, but please remember get your entry fees in on time to avoid the late fee. If a team pays an entry and then wishes to withdraw from the tournament, a request for a refund should be made prior to the closing of the Friday Night meeting. In extreme cases, the director will have the final say on whether or not we will give the refund. Make all checks payable to Fishers of Men.
Payout for Divisional Events: We pay one place for every five boats entered. Example: 25 boats - 1st- $1155, 2nd - $510, 3rd - $340, 4th - $220, 5th - $150
National Qualifiers In order to qualify for the District 4 National Qualifier, you must fish no less than three NC East Division events and finish in the top 80% in points for the division. District 4 is made up of just the state of North Carolina with 4 divisions, so our National Qualifier will be close to home and will cut down on travel expenses. Fishing in less than 5 events limits your choices to the District 4 event only. If you fish all five NC East Division events and finish in the top 80%, you are eligible to fish in any National Qualifier nationwide and you may fish in as many as you want. (See rule 19)
Off Limits The North Carolina East Division will be an "Off Limits with Practice " Division. The Tournament waters; defined as the WATERS OF THE RIVER THAT THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD ON, shall be off limits from 12:01 am Monday predecing the tournament until safe light Friday morning. Friday will be the official practice day. All other rivers and the sound will be open to fish as you wish. This means that if we launch out of Pembroke Creek, then only Pembroke, Queen Ann's Creeks, and Edenton Bay are off limits. And all the rest of the rivers and the sound can be fished. The tournament waters will be off limits again from Friday 5:30 pm until blast-off. Teams may not willfully receive information from anyone who has been on the tournament waters during the off limits period. Teams may not have the assistance of any non-competitor for the purpose of locating or catching fish on the official practice day. (See exception for legal substitute in Rule 16). See the official rules for violationand disciplinary measures.
Exception: It is permissible for one team member to compete in a tournament, alone or with a legal substitute, even if his/her partner has been on the tournament water during the off limit as long as (1) no information is shared between partners, AND (2) The team requests approval from the Tournament Director for one team member to compete in the tournament while the other team member will not be competing and will be on the waters during the off limits period AND(3) The Tournament Director approves the request Before the off limits period begins.
There are two new initiatives being offered to teams fishing with the Fishers of Men this year. They are the Berkley Cast for Cash and the Jim Hudson Toyota 4:19 Challenge.
Berkley Cast for Cash Program
Berkley® is excited to announce a new 2020 bait contingency program that will provide cash rewards for loyal weekend tournament and semi-professional tournament anglers.
To participate anglers must become a member of the Berkley Cast for Cash program. Memberships are $29.99 and include a pro pack of Berkley PowerBait, Powerbait MaxScent, hard baits, hat and decal with a MSRP of $47.95.
At each sanctioned tournament, the top two finishers among all Berkley Cast for Cash members will be rewarded with cash prizes ranging from $100 to $2,000 with no limit as to how many times one can win.
“We recognize the passion for tournament bass fishing and want to do our part to reward anglers that trust in Berkley baits to help them catch more fish,” said Jon Schlosser, Berkley VP of Marketing. “We think this is an innovative and exciting program
that will continue to grow in the future.”
Partner tournament trails include ABA, Bass Champs, BASSMASTER, Best Bass, Fishers of Men, and FLW. A full list of sanctioned tournaments within these trails can be found on the Berkley website.

Jim Hudson Toyota 4:19 Challenge
The 2019 Berkley Team Series District Championships, National Championship and the Shakespeare Legacy Championship, will have an insurance backed incentive which we believe will cause more excitement at these events. This program will be called the Jim Hudson Toyota 4:19 Challenge.
If the winning team in any of the Berkley Team Series District Championships or the Shakespeare Legacy Championship has a total weight ending in 4.19 (14.19, 24.19, 34.19, etc.) will win a new BassCat/Mercury boat & motor package.
Additionally, at the Berkley Team Series National Championship tournament if the winning team that has a total weight ending in 4.19 will win not only the boat and motor package but also a new Toyota Tundra truck to tow it home with.
