Our Friday night meeting was held at the Cortland Trinity Baptist Church and had a hearty meal of hot sausage sandwiches and some awesome deserts. The devotion was given by Vince Humenay and went over Matthew 4:18-22 and discussed what it was like to be a "fisher of men". The parable of Jesus walking on the water was also read, and reminded everyone to put their trust and faith in God in stormy and troubled times.
The field blasted off shortly after 5:30 to a strong south wind, but the fish cooperated well and 7 out of 8 teams brought limits to the scales. Dominating the field was the team of Richard Nearhoof and James Walters with a bag of 14.96 and also winning big fish with a 3.65 pound largemouth. In second place was the team of Justin Lonchar with 11.92 pounds. In third place, it was the team of John Moore and Tim Decker with 10.73 pounds.
