Are you different? Our director talked about how we were doing some things different this year. He compared recognizing those differences to how as believers in Jesus Christ we should be different. We should stand out as different from those living worldly lifestyles.
Alabama Central’s first Legacy meeting for the 2019 season was held at Wind Creek State Park. Our participants and families enjoyed a hot dog meal as they listened to a devotional on being different. There were 58 people present to enjoy the feast and hear the gospel!
As usual for Lake Martin, the weather did not cooperate. Our teams were greeted with cold and windy weather and then warm windy weather as the day progressed. However, spirits were high! Our youth anglers were eager to get out on the water. Alabama Central has a 3 fish limit for our Legacy teams. All nineteen teams brought a limit to the scales. 100% of the fish were released alive. A total of fifty-seven fish were weighed in for a total of 104.54 pounds. First place and first bonus bucks went to the father/so team of Hopper/Hopper with 87.68 lbs. Second place and second bonus bucks went to father/son team of Luster/Luster with 7.34 lbs. Third place and third Bonus Bucks went to the team father/son team of Hallman/Hallman with 7.18 lbs. Fourth place went to the team of Hilyer/Hilyer with 6.99 lbs. Fifth place including a 3.23 big fish went to the team of Strock/Markham with 6.89 lbs. Rounding out our winners at sixth place was the team of Bertarelli/Turner with 6.00 lbs.
