What a day!!!
Congratulations to our winners. Bradley Newcomb and Randal Stansbury. These two may look like kids but they fish like seasoned warriors. They proved it today on Lake Claiborne when they layed the smack down on this group North Louisiana All-Star veterans. Their bin weight of 13.25 pounds earned them 1st place bragging rights to go with their total earnings of $1,470, Which includes the John Richardson award (highest finishing team with a junior angler).
Michael Colvin and Aaron Branch were also able to show out again today with their total weight of 12.55. This standing earned them 2nd place along with $640 and maybe most importantly a significant 10 point lead over second place in the ongoing points race. I dont imagine they are too comfortable being that we are planning three more events for this season and there are at least 5 other teams that could steal the lead.
Toby Hammons and Dan Durrett came in swinging hard in their season debut today. They took 3rd place and a hefty $430 share of the purse.
Todd Risinger and Matt Holloway stepped in and Took the last check of the day for 4th place.
Thanks the God of the thunder and everything else that these anglers were able to compete all day without any thunderstorms or barely even any rain. I have no doubt that the weatherman was succesful at scaring alot of people out of this event. Big applause to the ones who roled the dice today and decided that it is indeed not the critic who counts.
I am excited with what God is doing with this season, Like most other things in life, it is sometimes hard to see the finished product but I can see God EVERYWHERE in this division. Thanks Lord for an amazing event today and protecting us from the weather. And all the other grace you show us often.
More pictures to come as soonas I ge them in.
