Hardwick and Williams weigh 23.60 to capture Murray Win!
The SC Lowcountry Division kicked off our 23rd season on Friday night at Chapin United Methodist Church where our anglers enjoyed food, fellowship and a pointed word from FCA staffer Larry Gamble. After rules were covered and Blastoff positions were assigned our anglers retired to get their last minute preperations and some needed rest.
Saturday morning dawned clear and breezy as our 45 teams left the dock in search of limits of 4-5 lbers. Fishing proved to be alot tougher than our record setting event from last year but nevertheless someone always seems to find a good bag on Murray. Today that team was Thomas Hardwick and Tommy Williams who dropped 23.60 on the scales to take the win and claim over $3000. Finishing 2nd was the team of Marshall French and Jon Anders who weighed a limit at 19.89 lbs. In a close 3rd was the team of Lee Sawyer and Cole Winn who brought 19.81 to the scales. In 4th Place was the team of Jody and Jay Wright with 19.52 lbs. Roudning out the top 5 was the team of Wade Amick and Zak Hufstettler who brought 19.34 to the scales. Brad Rutherford and Tanner Parker claimed the days Sportsmans Warehouse Big Bass a 7.28 lb beauty and took home and additional $200 as Highest Berkley Cast for Cash winners, Ross Burns and Dane Odom claimed the 2nd Highest Berkley Cast for Cash award.
