Jordan and Smith do it again.  They win back to back tournaments!!

Story by Steve Jennings

Friday Night Meeting was at Whites Creek Baptist Church.  The church family  provide the fishermen with some of the best barbeque in the south.  After everyone had eaten Preacher Goodson brought a great message that made you stop and reflect on your relationship with the Lord.

Saturday morning the Fishers of Men gang awoke to partly cloudy skies and an unseasonal cool  breeze blowing across the lake which made for a nice day to fish.

First place Ameriprise Award went to White Pine Pro Staffers Brian Jordan and Michael Smith.  This team came to the scales with 3  fish-limit weighing in at 8.29 lbs.  Brian reported running their Mercury powered boat down to the lower end of the lake to catch their fish.  This talented team used many different lures to catch their winning bag of bass.  They credit their Dixie Custom Rod Ledge Rockets which allowed them to make longer cast to get their plugs to greater depths.  This team is sponsored by Mercury,  Dixie Custom Baits, Tote Rite and White Pine Marine.

Second place went to Team Sexton.  This knowledgeable team came to the scales with 3 bass weighing in at 7.5 lbs.  Chris reported catching their fish off docks on the main lake steep banks.

Third place went to the team of  Rod Garrett and Paul Rogers who came in with 3 fish weighing in at 7.03 pounds. Rod reported catching their fish in less than 5 feet of water on a jig.

Fourth place and The White Pine Marine Lucky Dawg award, which is paid entry to next tournament went to the brother team of Tom and Tim Leonard.  This skillful team came to the scales with 2 fish weighing in at 5.18 pounds.  These anglers had the lunker of the tournament a beautiful largemouth bass weighing in at 3.73 pounds.  Tom reported running their Mercury powered boat all over the lake to find fish.  They found the right one catching the lunker on a big plastic worm out of 20 feet of water.
