Our first event of the year brought us to Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. A beautiful place to fish and can be rewarding when the fish wanna cooperate. Most of the teams found fish, yet only a few found the right bites to land them on top.
With 25 teams present, Shane and Charlie Mills captured 1st place with 20.13 lbs. Following in 2nd place was a father/son duo Chris Atkins and Chris Atkins 18.43 lbs. Mark Winn and Mike Nichols took 3rd place with 16.53 lbs. Finishing 4th place was Aarron Riffle and Ryan Smith with 16.20 bls and 5th place finishers were Ronnie Bothwell and Joe Kimble with 15.47 lbs. Congrats and great job guys!
Hotel Information:
Hotel housing is a little distance away( 40 minutes or greater). Multiple teams are getting houses and looking for teams to split costs with. Seems to be about 50$ per person a night this way. Please reach out to me or our group message on FB if you are interested.
