Congrats to Justin and Ty Fain who weighed 25 lbs to take the win!

The SC Lowcountry Division kicked off our 2021 season on Lake Murray where 49 teams showed up to try and lay claim to the $3000 First Place Prize

FOM Executive Board member Bobby Jackson gave our Pre-Blast off devotion about the simplicity of the Gospel. 1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son has Life. Jesus is the Kicker that we all need in our life to experience true abundance and eternal life.

Our anglers blasted off in chilly conditions with temps right around the 30 degree mark and a really cold northwestt wind. Rumor was that fishing has been tough with water temps ranging from 45-50 degrees but their are some really good sticks in our Division and they seldom disappoint.

Leading the charge was the father son team of Justin and Ty Fain who make the annual trip down from Ohio. Justin told me they have fallen in love with Murray and that it really suits their style of fishing. They proved as much dropping a whopping 25.28 bag on the scales, maybe even more impressive was that their Big Fish barely weighed 5 1/2 lbs. That's a Bag full of STUDS. They took home over $3500!

Finishing 2nd was the team of Wade Amick and Zach Huffstetler who brought 19.97 lbs to the scales including the days Big fish a 6.37 lb Beauty. Together they took home over $2000.

Finishing 3rd were defending Points Champs Marshall French and Trip Poplin whose 18.81 lb bag earned them over $1200.

4th Place went to always tough Ronnie Mueller and Wayne Frierson with 18.30 lbs and rounding out the top 5 was the team of George Berry and Sean Anderson who weighed 18.22 lbs
