Our 2021 season kicked off on Lake Palestine. A little rain and wind did not deter the 50 teams who joined us. Plenty of big sack were brought to the scales including one minnow brought by Adam Moore weighing 11.03#!! We paid 10 places plus THSBA, M/F and A/Jr. bonuses for a total of $8,848.00
Many thanks to the Cornerstone Class at Central Baptist Church in Tyler for providing our meal of pulled pork sandwiches, chips and cookies for all our anglers. Also, thanks to Rob Graham our Chaplan for a wonderful message as well.
Congratulations to Andrew Whistler and Zach Sheehy for 1st place and 1st place bonus bucks with a 24.05# sack winning them $3,722.50
2nd place was Mike Watson and Daniel Roden with a 21.88# sack winning $1,543.50
3rd place was Robert Jones and Cody Woods with a 19.89# bag winning $922
4th place was Eric Thompson and Paul Ferguson weighing 19.04# and winning $400, Doug and Sharon Peggs took home 5th place with 18.56# and $300. Anthony Davis and Tyler Davis won $270 for 6th with a 18.55# sack. 7th went to Ty and Mark Faber who took home $220 with a 17.92# bag. 8th went to Tom Mayne and Ronnie Durrett Jr.for $200 with a 17.88# sack. Jimmy Sheehy and Josh Dickens won $170 and 9th place with 16.93#. 10th place went to Bo Ricketts and Clay Wills with 16.76# and $150.
Jeff and William Wooldridge won $150 for being the highest placing adult/junior team out of the money as well as another $400 for being the highest placing team with a THSBA jr. angler. Thank you to Joey Ridgle Septic for sponsoring that THSBA bonus!
David and Tracy Pace took home $150 for being the highest placing male / female team out of the money.
