Well our season is officially half over.  Our third stop of the 2021 season is back on Lake Cumberland.  We started the morning out having a devotion on the water just before blast off.  FOM member Phillip Yates spoke to us about even though we may have a sucessful career and have thing going good for us in our lives that we really are not fullfilled without Christ, so the best is still yet to come.  29 teams blasted off Saturday morning, three of those teams was tied for first place in points and the second place team was just 1 point behind.  This is probably the tightest points race that I have been a part of since becoming a director over 10 years ago.  Coming to the scales in first place was the team of Wilcher and Stromberger with a limit of smallmouth that they caught on jerkbaits.  Their total weight was 15.09lbs.  Second place went to the team that was second in points coming into this tournament.  Brothers Jeff and John Carman brought 5 keepers to the scales weighting 12.38lbs.  This would give them the lead in the points championship.  In third place was the team of Monson and Profit with 7.56lbs.  Before weighin we had a non computer generated random draw the winning boat was the team of Yates and Yates.  They won two 50.00 gift cards donated by TJ Wilcher at LandBigFish.com.  Hope to see eveyone at our next tournament on Barren River Lake.  The Carman brothers are 2 points ahead of the second place team of Logan Estes and Taylor Hansford.  Ben Kabel and Larry Baldock are just 3 points behind the leaders.  Its sure to be an exciting tournament that you won't want to miss.
