We started the season off great with a message from our own Jared Sowers, Jareds message was great, it really put into perspective that we must lead those that dont know christ and those that have not asked God to forgive them and havent become saved. Folks, if you have never accepted Christ as your saviour now is the time, dont wait, we are not quarenteed tomorrow. Jared thank you as always for a great message.
Our tournament weather was terrible, and for many it proved to be a tough day, however someone always catching them and boy did they ever. we saw several of our largest bags ever weighed in, in this tournament. Steven Grant and Richard Stallings brought in a beast of a bag weighing in 26.62lbs with a 7lb kicker. This was the largest bag I have ever weighed as a director and it was amazing to see Smith Mtn show out for these two.
2nd place went to Ralph and Justin Hicks with 21.08lbs with a 6.62lb kicker, Justin caught all the fish they weighed, his dad being funny asked if Justin could have fished by himself, Ralph I am sure you were a great net man. Justin made you proud and a few dollars richer..
3rd went to Jared Sowers and Kevin Allison
4th went to Jeffrey Ross and Clay Ross
5th went to Anthony Dillion and Jonathan Bailey
6th and Big Fish went to Taft Durr and Jon Simmons, the big fish weighed 7.74lb.
7th went to Bryan Conley and Melvin Funk.
8th went to Tony McCraw and Penny McCraw
9th and just out of the money went to Lacy Burnette and Dwain Bever.
