win at High Rock with 22.88 lbs. and receive first place winnings of $4,600
B.A.S.S. Elite Pro Brandon Card was our speaker Saturday morning. Brandon shared how earlier in his career he consider a success only by how he finished in the tournaments. God has now showed him that his success/wins are the opportunities that God has given him to make a difference in others’ lives by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was great weather for fishing Saturday morning over cast with a little breeze. However the word was that the fishing on High Rock had been tough and when the first few boats weighed in it was looking like a limit may get you in the money. As the day progressed High Rock showed herself again with several fish over five pounds and two over 7 pounds.
The Team of Cody and James Thompson weighed in 22.88 lbs. to take 1st place and $4,600 in winnings. They reported catching their fish on soft plastic fishing around spawning bass but not sight fishing.
2nd place went to the team of Jarrett Freeze and Rodney Adams 21.71 lbs. and $1,560 in winnings. They reported catching their fish basically the same as the first place team.
Rodney Cozart and Mitch Drew captured 3rd place with 20.98 lbs. and winnings of $1,000. They reported catching their fish on floating worms.
4th place went to Tony and Jerris Bush with 20.31 lbs. and winnings of $940
5th place went to Zach and Les McLean their weight of 19.13 lbs. brought them $500 in winnings.
Rounding out the teams in the money was 6th place Kolton and Allen Hawks with 18.91 lbs. 7th place was Mark Murphy and Jarrett Albright with 18.22 lbs. 8th place Jeffrey Queen and Mike Chronister with 17.77 lbs. 9th place CJ Johnston and Matt Stanley 17.63 lbs.
10th place was Brian and Allen Robbins with 17.16 lbs.
11th place Steve Summer and Jason Thomas with 17.10 lbs. 12th place Ladd and Landon Whicker with 17.02 lbs.
Bruce and Ricky Holden won the Big Fish price of $500 with a 7.53 hog
- Mike Chronister and Jeff Queen won the $250 bonus for being the highest placing team in a new boat purchased from Rock Outdoors in the last 36 months.
- Our Legends bonus winner was Gary Abbott who will receive $150 Rock Outdoor gift certificate.
- The Team Out of the money drawing winner was Todd Harris and Chris Brown they win a free entry into one of our regular season tournaments.
- Morgan Benton won the $50 Rock Outdoors bonus for the highest finishing youth under 16 yrs
