Friday Night Meeting was at Leadvale Baptist Church. After everyone had lots of great food to eat, we had just a short walk over to the sanctuary where Pastor Brandon Cates delivered a challenging message for all of us men to step up.
Saturday Morning came with unseasonable cool and light winds, but this did not cool off the hot team of Brian Jordan and Michael Smith from blowing away with field for the second straight tournament with 19.14 pounds of largemouth bass. This heavy bag also included the lunker of the tournament a beautiful 4.62 lbs. largemouth bass. This team reported running their Mercury all around upper section of the lake to catch their fish on many different lures. This team is sponsored by White Pine Marine, Mercury Outboards, Phoenix Boats, Dixie Custom Rods, and Tackle Tote-Rite and most of all Jesus.
Second place went to the father and son team of Chris and Mason Sexton. They came to the scales with five fish for 15.62 pounds. Chris reported using several different lures fishing shallow all day long around them mid-section of the lake.
Third place went to the team Forrest Harley and Randall Clark who came to the scales with five fish limit weighing 13.36 lbs. Randall reported flipping isolated laydowns to catch their fish.
Fourth place went to the team of Jason White and David Burgess. This talent team reported using topwater and senko to entice the bass. At the end of the day, they returned with five fish weighing in at 12.93 pounds. Jason wanted to thank the Lord for a fun and safe day on the water.
