FL Central March 2025 Lake Toho Storyboard

On March 7th, 2025, 15 teams descended upon Richardson’s Fish Camp in Kissimmee Florida for stop number three of the 2025 season. The teams enjoyed a nice meal and some great fellowship right before our very own Ben Smith brought a great word challenging us all. Once Ben completed his message, we moved into covering the rules and upcoming events within the division. The teams voted on the final stop of the season, and we adjourned the meeting for some much-needed rest before the next days tournament.

On Saturday March 8th, 2025, 15 teams launched into the waters of beautiful lake Toho eager and ready to challenge each other to see who would become the “The Toho Titan” for the weekend. The anglers were met with a cool 51 degree morning and a nice breeze to start the day. Sunrise came early and once the National Anthem was completed and our Prayers were sent, the teams blasted off to see who would be crowned “The Toho Titan”!

The day would be overcast and warm up until around 9AM then the skies opened, and the sun blazed through making for a very warm day. Despite the conditions, it was the conditions on the water that everyone wondered about, how were folks doing, what was going to be the winning weight? The lake proved to have been tough for all but four of the teams as the previous two-night cold snap made fishing tough for most.

Fishing solo this month without his partner was not a factor for Josh Davis from the team of Josh Davis and John Brazzel as he would go on to be crowned “The Toho Titan” for the weekend bringing in and impressive 17.24 pounds taking the First-Place honors. Second Place honors go to the Father and Son Team of Dan Smith and Ben Smith with a nice 15.37-pound catch anchored by a 6.09-pound lunker which would hold on to be the big bass of the day. Rounding out the top three and holding off the fourth-place team by a mere .34 ounces was the team of Donnie Fisher and Bryan Nelson with a 11.43-pound bag. Only two other teams would finish in double digits showcasing the toughness of the days fishing. The anglers fellowshipped with one another, ribbed each other, and congratulated each other at the boat ramp to end a great weekend of Faith, Family, and Fishing all while encouraging each other to be ready for stop number four on the illustrious Harris Chain.

The scales closed with a total of 121.60 pounds of bass being caught, all fish being released back into the Lake Toho waters and 11 limits and 60 bass being caught for the day. The Lord blessed us again this month with beautiful weather, great friendships, great fellowship, and great hosts to cap off another great weekend. Stay tuned for stop number 4 on the Harris Chain on April 12th.

Thank you, God, for a great weekend, also thank you to Richardson’s Fish Camp for hosting us this year and thank you to all the anglers and their families who continue to fish and support the Fishers of Men Ministry.

We would also like to thank all our National Ministry Partners, Basscat Boats, Berkley, Abu Garcia, Mercury, Realtree Fenwick, Firefly Marine, Power-Pole, TH Marine, Fish 4:19 Performance Eyewear, Frogg Toggs
