SC Upstate Classic Series had 23 Boats on Kewoee today (3/22/2025).
Our 3rd Classic Event of 2025 was hosted by Lifepoint Church in Seneca SC. These guys have been experiencing some major growth in their church over the past few years and we were blessed to be able to partner with them for this event. Hats off to Chad and the guys that served us Friday night. The food was FANTASITC! Especially the deserts and cookies that survived the night to be enjoyed on the boat Saturday. GREAT JOB LIFEPOINT!!
Dale Black, who is a competition slolam skier shared an inspirational message with us. He explained how Skiers can KNOW another SKier just by observing a few things: How they talk, How the walk, Their equipment. Fishermen can do the same thing. We can understand the skill and knowledge level of other fishermen just by listening to how they talk about the sport. As a serious tournament angler, the way you talk (and simetime "don't talk) reveals how true you are to the sport. The time you spend practicing or researching or develpoing new tactics reveals your comittment. We all can relate to this concept, right?
Dale challenged the believers in the room to consider our Spirtual Life the same way. As a believer, we can observe the same things about ourselves and others. How we TALK, LIVE, SERVE, WORSHIP, and spend our money all reveal how TRUE we are to our comittment to Christ as a believer. We were challnged to strive to make Him a priorty in our life. This doesn't require you to stop your current day to day acitivities like work and play, but it SHOULD challenge you to consider how you are doing these thinkgs to Honor God. As a beliver, our purpose in life is to 1-Love God and 2-Love Others. Join me in this challenge to pursue our Love for God by outwardly loving others in our daily lives.
Saturday morning was a little chilly, bit the weatherman promised it was going to warm up! It did later in the day and it was a beautiful Spring day in SC Upstate. Keowee has been producing 20 lb bags more and more over the past couple of years, and we were not dissapointed.
