Tournament #1   3-22-25  Lake Cumberland results                                                                                                                                                                                              

  The Friday night meeting was hosted by Oakhill Baptist Church.  This is my home church and they did not disappoint me.  The food was excellent!  They served pulled pork loaded baked potatoes, shrimp tacos, with all the fixings. They had a nice array of desserts and drinks to choose from.  I cant thank them enough for making our first meeting a success. 

  Oakhills pastor Bro. Alan Fisher was our speaker.  He brought a great message refering to the Fishers of Men and related that to how God can use us no matter where we are in our lives.  With a testimony of how he lead his first person to Christ at a church camp. How he was amazed even with all the mistakes he had made God was able to use him, even though he was imperfect himself.  That you didnt have to clean yourself up before coming to the lord.  He accepts you no matter how imperfect you are ,and no matter your past.  

  We had one man accept the lord as his personal savior that night, and one recommitment!!!  Wow this is why we do this trail.  This is why Fom is special and why i want to be a part of this minitry.  God has caled us all to be Fishers of Men. To go out and be diciples for him. To spread the good news of Jesus Christ,  so that they too can one day stand in his presents and live with him in heaven forever.  I am so thankfull that God can even use me.  Someone that has made so many mistakes in my life, and use a passion i have for fishing. To lay down my rod and reel, and follow him.  To make me a Fisher of Men to make a difference in even one persons life.

Cumberland fished very tough today with high muddy water and high winds.  My hats are off to you guys for sticking it out in very tough condition.  Just shows how great of anglers you are.  Being able to put fish in the boat when many would have not even fished a day like that. Hopefully we will have much better fishing conditions at our next event on Laural Lake.
