The Friday night Pre-Tournament meeting was held at Lake Springfield Christian Assembly at 1598 Lick Creek Ln. Springfield, IL where the anglers were fed a supper of pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, and homemade cookie bars and brownies. 26 people were in attendance. After dinner the Director Carl Parks shared the message that your confession of faith should be seen by men and people should know you are a follower of Jesus. 2 Men made first time confessions of faith, and one rededicated his walk with the Lord.
Saturday morning was a little chilly but 18 teams launched out of Lindsay boat ramp with the hopes that they would bring back the winning bag. 12 Teams weighed in 5 fish limits but one always comes out on top. The father / son team of Jerry and Grant Olsen weighed 16.26 lbs to take the first win of the season. Second Place Team of Mark Rahn and Jason Stomberg weighed in 15.66 lbs. Third Place was the team of Herb Rush and Zach Pierce with 14.96 lbs. The Scheels Big Bass of the tournament was Steven Davis with a 5.01 lb Largemouth earning him $520. What a great start to the season. See you in May!
