Three teams took to the Lake Crescent waters on 6-7-2025 to see who would become the Champions at 1PM. The day started out nice with overcast skies and 75 degree temperatures but quickly turned to overcast skies and 85+ degree termpatures. The temperature proved to be a factor as the the anglers said it was a brutal day out there and the scales would verify. Newcomers Matt Taylor and Hamp Taylor would secure the days tops spot with one fish weighing in at 2.33 pounds beating out the second place team of Brock Reeves and Walker Smith who suffered a dead fish penalty leaving them with a 1.63 pound bag. Third place honors went to the team of Ron and Junior Causey with a catch of .42 pounds earning them the second place bonus bucks check. The fellowship after the tournament was the best part according to the junior anglers who bragged about outfishing Dad on the day which made this tournament director smile. The families enjoyed pizza and door prizes while listening to the director give a devotional on preparedness. Once the meeting was over despite their long drives facing them they all hung around after to fellowship which makes it all the more special. All anglers qualified for the Legacy National Championship on Lake Jordan next month in Wetumpka Alabama. Stay tuned!
