Androscoggin River was one for the books! It was a tough day on the water. Heavy rain from the night before seemed to disrupt the fish, not to mention the river had lots of challenges to navigate due to significant drought and incredibly low water levels! This was the final event for our season. We had 21 teams blast off, and ended with only 13 weighing in.
Huge congratulations to our 1st place team- Keith Poulin & Caleb LaFrance with 17.36lb and large mouth lunker 4.76lb.
2nd place team- Nick Deering & Steven Tsaitsios with 16.78lbs
3rd place team- James Welch & Paul Raffel with 16.68 lbs and small mouth lunker at 4.64 lbs.
4th place team- Mark Osgood & James Osgood with 14.48 lbs
This was our final event of the season and the 2025 Points Championship quest was a nail biter to the end! Going into this event we had a tie for first place points with best 4 our of 5 events between the teams of Scott & Erika Robert and Mark & James Osgood. Plus the team of Keith Poulin & Caleb LaFrance were only 3 points out.
As the teams weighed in, the side calculations started with everyone trying to see who was taking the lead of the points. Mark weighed in... decent bag at 14.48 lbs and a 4.3 lb large mouth lunker. Scott & Erika came to the scale, saying "he got us"... their bag weighing in at 12.73 lbs. Keith & Caleb came to the scale with 17.36 lbs that included a 4.76 lb large mouth lunker, taking not only the win and large mouth lunker, but bringing their points to a tie with Mark & James Osgood!!!
Tie breaker in these circumstances require adding the weights for each team from their 5 best events. Keith & Caleb weighed in a total of 85.49 lbs. Mark & James weighed in a total of 86.03 lbs.
Just 0.54 lb difference! What a day!!!
