Chalk Drawing! Lights out, music playing, beautiful chalk drawing right before our eyes! Speaker spoke to us about his Dad teaching him to swim and how he would not let go of the side of the pool. His Dad said son you have got to trust me! He went on to talk about lessons he learned from his Dad and that he knew his Dad always had his back. He spoke of how God came to rescue us. That Peter could walk on water as long as he kept his focus on Jesus. The drawing demonstrated a fishing boat in beautiful surroundings but with an unseen Jesus keeping watch. Jesus has our backs if we only trust Him. There were 3 professions of faith and 2 recommitments.

Our final Legacy meeting was held at Coosada Baptist Church where our 14 teams/52 guests were treated to a wonderful steak meal with all the trimmings. Thanks to Coosada and Larry Liveoak.

We had a beautiful day for river fishing even though the water level was very high due to the rains we have had over the past week. The sun was shining but there was a cool breeze. Our 14 teams brought 39 fish to the scale weighting in at 76.06 pounds. 100% of the fish were released alive. First place and 1st bonus bucks went to the team Drinnon and Kelley with 10.27lbs.  Second place and second bonus bucks went to the team of Varon/Gibson with 7.75 lbs, including big fish at 3.9 lbs. Third place and 3rd bonus bucks went to the team of Hopper/Hopper with 7.59 lbs. 4th place team of Cartee/Cartee weighed in 6.28 lbs. Slade Jones was the winner of our weigh-in drawing for a rod.

Our 2017 Points Champions were Jason and Braxton Hopper. They also won a slot to the Alabama State Championship in September! Their entry to the State Championship in September will be paid.
