Our first tournament is in the books, as we kicked off the season on Laurel Lake in London Ky.  Pittsburg Marine hosted our meeting in their showroom as we listened to our guest speaker Travis Freeman tell us about his faith and going blind at the age of 12 years old and how he didn't let blindness hold him back in life.

Saturday morning brought cold temperatures as 36 team blasted off at daylight in hopes of bringing home the winning catch of the day.  That afternoon the tempertures got warmer and Doug Coulter and Todd Wilson came across the scales in first place with a winning weight of 19.60lbs.  Doug and Todd caught their fish using jigs and jerkbaits.  They took home 1776.50 for their catch.  In second place was the team of Cole Smith and Ronnie Maxey with a total weight of 17.26, their fish came off points and channel bends using carolina rigs, jigs and jerkbaits.  Cole and Ronnie took home a total winnings of 788.50.  Coming in third place was the team of Ted Grigsby and Adam Grigsby with 17.06lbs, Ted and Adam caught their fish using 3/8oz BC Lure, Bubba Bug Jig in Tennessee orange craw and a new color that is yet to be introduced called Sun Gill.  Big fish of the day came from the team of Barry King and Charles Anders with a smallmouth weighting 5.90lbs that Barry caught using a Strike King sexy ghost minnow jerkbait.  Thank you to all the teams that came out to fish with us saturday and hope to see everyone in a few weeks on Green River Lake.  Special thanks to the companies that donated door prizes for the meeting, Pittsburg Marine, D & C Small Engines, Pittman Creek Wholesale, BC Lures, and Land Big Fish.
