Congratulations to A.L Needham and Steve Singleton weighing 14.42 pounds to with the NC Piedmont event on Tillery.

It seems like it had been for ever since our last tournament back in March.  We started off the weekend at Uwharrie Community Church for our Friday night banquet.  Bobby and Duke were hard at it in the kitchen preparing a hearty meal for the group that consisted of homemade spaghetti sauce and salad.  With a variety of deserts to finish up the meal.  The message was brought by Pastor Eddie who’s also an avid fisherman and hunter.  He used the analogy of the Walking Dead program to how those folks are on the inside who don’t have a relationship with Jesus and are dead spiritually.  Thanks to all involved who made this a special event.

The weather has started warming up and the fish are beginning to get more active.  Unfortunately, we missed the spawn for the Tillery event by about a week or two.  The fishing was kind of tough for all the teams with only needing a little under 12.5lbs to get a check.

Our First-Place Winners of A.L Needham and Steve Singleton weighing 14.42 and earned a little over $1,800.  Second Place was taken by CJ Johnston and Matt Stanley with 14.37 pounds earning $736.  Rounding out the top 3 was Robby Cagle and David Jeffreys with 13.32 pounds and a check for $658.  The big fish of 6.19 pounds was caught by Bo Russel and assisted by Mark Tarlton.  From what I could get out of these guys many of the fish were caught jigs, shaky heads, and swim baits.
