Our third tournament of the year was held on Lake Verrett out of Bayside Tackle. We had 40 boats!! Our meeting was held at the Church of God of Prophecy in Belle River, thank you Pastor Doug Watson. We had shrimp stew, rice, potato salad and bread. Our message was given by our assistant director Winston Michel. The message was to make us realize that Jesus is coming back very soon and we need to make sure that our relationship with Him is true and strong.
The tournament began with prayer led by Winston Michel. The weather gave to blue bird skies early and clouds later in the day, which made for a great day of fishing. Though size was a challenge for most, there were plenty limits caught. 1st place went to Rusty and Quentin Cappo with a weight of 14.68 lbs. 2nd place went to Todd Murray and Brandon Dodson with a weight of 14.56 lbs. 3rd place went to Chad Porto and Kevin Medine with a weight of 14.04 lbs. 4th place went to Winston Michel and Sandy Gaudet with a weight of 13.02 lbs. 5th place went to Dustin Champagne and Keith Guidry with a weight of 12.18 lbs. 6th place went to Vernon Silver and Gerald Butler with a weight of 11.70 lbs. 7th place went to Ryan Gomez and Bryan Mistretta with a weight of 11.62 lbs. 8th place went to Stuart Wallace and Mike Crowson with a weight of 11.54 lbs. Big bass also went to Chad Porto and Kevin Medine with a weight of 5.44 lbs. We want to thank everyone who helped make this tournament a success. We also want to thank the Assumption High School fishing team members who helped with releasing our fish for the weigh in.
