Details for Grand Lake of the Cherokees Tournament, August 12, 2017

The Friday night meeting will be held at the historic Wyandotte (OK) Friends Church.  Coming into Wyandotte on Highway 60, you will come to the “Turtle Stop” gas station and Casino in Wyandotte. Turn south on the road on the east side of the station and go about 1 mile to the church.  There’s plenty of parking if you want to bring your boat.  Registration will begin at 5:00 PM with.  The meal will be at 6:00 PM, with the speaker and meeting to follow. 
Saturday   We will take off at 6:30 AM from the ramp at Twin Bridges State Park, weighing in at 3:00 PM at the same location.  We may change that depending on the temperature.   Twin Bridges is on Highway 60, about 12 miles west of Seneca, or south off Highway 10 in Miami, OK on Highway 137.  137 ends at the park.
Suggested lodging is the Americas Best Value Inn, Miami, OK.  Its address is 2225 E. Steve Owens Blvd.  The phone number is 918-542-6681.  They will give us a rate of $49.99 – just ask for Dennis and mention Fishers of Men when you call.  Ask for the back row.  There’s plenty of room to park and stay hooked up.  If you’d rather camp, the park has excellent campgrounds, and rents one room “lake huts” according to their website.  There is a large hotel and casino on highway 10 at Wyandotte but it is extremely crowded, very expensive, and would not be a place I’d want to park a boat, if it’s even possible to do so.
