~~Fishers of Men third tournament meeting was held at Leadvale Baptist Church.   Ginger Sexton and the members of the church always do a great job making the best lasagna you will ever eat.  Later at the church service Kenny and Gingers Sexton’s teenage daughter Kayla did a great job singing, and then Pastor Charlie Harkleroad preached an awesome message that made you stop and reflect on your testimony.
First place went to the new team Keith McDeerman and Von Dilbeck who came to the rain drenched scales with 17.81 pounds of largemouth bass.  This skillful team reported running the Yamaha powered Skeeter all over Douglas Lake, fishing main lake points.  They loaded their Powell Rods up with a variety of different crankbaits to catch their fish.
Second place went to the team of Larry Rolens and Travis Williams who returned with five largemouth bass weighing in at 17.04 pounds.  Travis reported catching a limit in the first hour of the tournament on top water and switching over to flipping willows and buck brush the rest of the day.
3rd place went to Matt and Rob Coughlin who weighted in 16.67 pounds of bass.  These brothers reported using a swim jig to catch their fish from over 20 feet of water.  They did not catch any more fish once it started raining around 10 AM.
4th place went to Jason Holder and Nathan Crisp came to the scales with 16.14 pounds of bass, this bag of fish included the lunker of the tournament a beautiful 5.33 pound Douglas Lake monster bass.  Jason reported that they fished main lake points using a spoon and a hair jig.

5th place went to the father and son team of Tony and Cade Chambers who came to the scales with a nice bag of fish weighing in at 15.98 pounds.  Tony reported they had a limit by 7:45 AM.  This talented team know for fishing shallow water used a spinnerbait and jig to catch their impressive bag of fish.
The White Pine Marine Lucky Dog award, which means they were one place out of the money, and that White Pine Marine, will pay their entry fee on next month’s tournament on Watt Bar Lake went to the team of Brian Jordan and Michael Smith.  This team came to the scales with 5 bass weighing in at 14.49 pounds.   Brian Jordan reported running his White Pine Marine, Mercury powered Nitro Boat all over Douglas Lake to bring back their nice bag of fish.
