Hickory Point, Lake Harris 5/6/2017   So sad to say our final tournament has come and gone for the 2017 season. A special thank you to the First Baptist Church of Umatilla for hosting our Friday night meeting. Our fantastic meal was provided by Old Crow Barbacue out of Umatilla. We had some technical difficulties that prevented us from finishing up our Andy Stanley Go Fish series. Billy Taylor stepped right in as we watched a short video from David Platton how to have the best relationship with Christ. It's not just about going to church, reading the Bible or saying your a Christian. It's about making a personal commitment and relationship with Christ and accepting him into your life. We blasted off with 10 boats at 6:20am from Hickory Point with winds 15-20 mph and gusts up to 30! It made for a slightly rough ride and took away a few spots you might of normally traveled too.  Dusty and Corey McDevitt weathered the wind and managed to catch 15.15lbs and for first. Walt and Jonathan Gurgacz had 12.15 for second while Brian and Brooke Nelson were close behind in third with 12.12lbs. Bob Austin had big bass with a 4.14. We were fortunate enough to be able to hand out some end of the season prizes as well. Corey and Dusty were points champion for the year earning a nice trophy and an even nicer $500 check. Our big bass for the season went to Chris and Dylan Westhelle who caught a 6.3 at our Toho tournament. Even though Dylan could not make the last tournament he still received a trophy and a nice check for $100! I would like to say a special thank you to all our sponsors. Without them none of this is possible. All of our local sponsors who get to see first hand the impact they make and how it effects our tournaments first hand. A few things I am working on is adding a fifth event, upping the points champion for the season prize to $1500 and big bass to $250!
