The Florida Central division could not have been more blessed with our second event on the Winter Haven chain.  We started with the Friday night pre-tournament meeting at St. John's United Methodist Church, were we enjoyed delicous food, fellowship and an intiguing message from  Dr. James Merritt.  Our very own anglers Vince Lambert and John Myers III prepared a spaghetti and meatball dinner with sald and garlic bread for the meeting, while our division Chaplin, Glenn Welborn led us in prayer and provided the inspirational message,

   Glenn played the first video of a three part series from Dr. James Merritt, titled On the Ropes.  He discussed the point of doubting God, where sometimes we may feel that He is not listening or answering our prayers because, nothing has changed.  How can things be the way they are or how could Jesus have been crucified the way he was, if God was listening?  God works on a bigger picture wher sometimes the answer is not always yes, "No" is an aswer as well and things shall fal into place as He has them planned to do so. There is indeed a plan and He is listening.

   As we launched Saturday morning, there were clear skies with a huge full moon lighting up the lake. Throughout the tournamnet the weather remained beautiful with an abundant amount of sunshine 76 degrees and little wind.  Once again we had prime conditions for the spawn as fish were spotted on the beds and we had three https://www.trophycatchflorida.com/? bass come in at over 8 pounds and four teams weighed in over 20 pound bags.

      Keith Carson and Billy Taylor came in fourth place at 20.21 lbs. and were in the Bonus Bucks.  Roy Jones Jr. and Brian Slover finished third with 21.22 lbs.  Jim and Sharon Wade did very well placing third with 21.45 lbs. and last but not least John Brazzell and Josh Davis did it again with 24.76 lbs. to remain at the top.  John definatley has something going for him so far this year and he also locked in boat number 1 with the door prize raffle. 

   We will return to action on lake Kissimmee, March 18th out of Camp Mack.
