Thanks to Crossroads Fellowship Church for hosting our Friday Night Meeting and supplying the anglers with a great meal and fellowship. Our message for the evening was delivered by Tyler Alverson. Tyler talked to us about how we need to draw nearer to God as we go through troubled times; God does not leave us we begin to weaken ourselves by allowing doubt to creep in.

Saturday morning gave us a few rain showers but stopped just as we were getting ready for blast off. After the rain moved through and the clouds cleared we were welcomed with hot temperatures and muggy conditions. First Place went to the father and son team of Steve and Chad Sentell bringing a five fish limit to the scales weighing 15.98 lbs. David and Lori Rogers took second place honors with a five fish limit weighing 14.92 lbs. Third place went to the team of Tony Askew and Daniel Hallum bringing a limit of five in weighing 14.39 lbs. Tony and Daniel also took big fish honors with a 5.51 lb. largemouth. David Bell and Chris Tarpley won the K9 Fishing first place out of the money prize package. Greg and Alex Yandell won the Mid-South Restoration $200 giveaway. The team of James and David Hanson won the Shaffer Creations Largest Bass of the year award netting them $200. The Shaffer Creations Heaviest Stringer of the year award went to the team of Steve and Chad Sentell earning them $300.

Congratulations to the team of Steve and Chad Sentell for winning the 2017 points champions and earning them a slot in the National Championship on Lake Guntersville in 2018.
