2017 Midwest Region - District 10 Championship
A long run to Lake Erie and two twenty pound bags bring victory.
Day two of the District 10 Championship qualifier started out cool with light winds out of the northwest. As the sun started to show itself the teams left the ramp in all directions looking for the winning bag of fish.
The Indiana South Team of John Santos and Matt McClannahan made a big run south on both days, from the Harley Ensign boat ramp on Lake Saint Clair to Lake Erie. John and Matt added 20.61 lbs. on day two to give them their two day total of ten smallmouth weighing 42.33 lbs. With a shorter fishing day they did not go far out in Erie but far enough to find the big fish. John and Matt also took the big bass honors with a 5.78 lb. smallmouth. GREAT JOB GUYS!
