Our meeting for this event was hosted by Nautical Mile Marine. Specail thanks to Chris Knight and all the fine folks on his crew. They always make us feel at home. Rob Graham (our chaplin) spoke about being the kind of man/woman we should be. We all fail, we all can do better, we all need God's help being a spouse, son, daughter, friend, employee etc. Even with our failures God loves us and sent his son to die for us! Amazing.
The word for the morning was FOG! Anglers had to endure a 4 hour delay due to heavy fog before they got started. The front came through though, and the fog lifted as the temps dropped by 15 degrees at 11:15 am! Weigh-in was pushed back to 5 pm.
Shane & Dustin Gray finished 1st with a 26.72# sack winning $3,871. Keith Lantrip & Roger Durdin came in 2nd with 20.60# for $1,483. Ty & Mark Faber from PAGOSA SPRINGS, COLORADO drove 16 hours Friday to attend the meeting and finished 3rd with 19.60# for $1,031. Vince Alibrando & Adam Moore finished 4th with 16.75# and $820. Scott Jenkins & Coy Spencer were 5th with 16.22# and $492. 6th went to Robert Jones & Cody Woods with 16.00# for $422. 7th place was Cameron Frowick and Matt McClellan 14.63# and $374. 8th was Joseph Sanderson & Guillermo Gonzalez from AUSTIN & LAKE WORTH, TX. respectively with 14.44# and $282. Joey & Pam Ridgle were the highest placing M/F team out of the money and took home $365, including Big Bass. Joey Ridgle had the big fish at 7.93#! Danny Smith & Blaine Davis won $450 for being the highest placing A/J team out of the money along with being the highest placing team with a THSBA Jr. Angler.
