Well, our meeting was set at First Baptist Church of Collinsville, they made there breakfast for dinner for us and it was excellent as always. Thanks so much to Pastor Cheek and your mens group for and amazing venue.

Our speaker for the evening was Wyatt Elliott, he shared a personal testimony about his father a former judge who's death impacted his life and the community we all grew up in in Campbell County. Wyatt pretty much laid out the ground rules for all christians and also invited those that didnt know Christ as there saviour to come speak to him or to those in the group that could help them learn how to get saved. It was a great message. Thanks Wyatt for sharing this.

Well the tournament morning started out at a hot 32 degrees,, we blasted off at safe light, approximatly 6:45 am. we had 2 flights with 28 boats competing.Apparently the fish were staging for the spawn as we had mixed bags of what is considered typical for Philpott Lake during this time.The winners of this derby was Marty Nester and Doug Carter with a huge sack for Philpott Lake being 17.44 pounds with a 8.01lb kicker. Marty said this was the largest bass he has ever weighed in a tournament. I think this is the largest bass I have weighed in the four years of being a director. Marty and Doug keyed on fish just starting to bed and were fortunate that those they caught were locked on the beds they did find.Big bass honors obviously went to Marty and Doug for the 8.01 lb mamoth they brought to the scales.
