Costas Father/Son Duo drop the Hammer on Santee,

The SC Lowcountry Divsions second stop of the 2018 season kicked off Friday night at Berkley Baptist Church in Monks Corner where our anglers were treated to some of Stanley Bruce and companies fine BarBQue with all the fixins. Pastor Henry brought a message about how the God of creation that we witness on a dailey basis in the outdoors desires a relationship with us thru His Son Jesus.

Anticipation was high going into this event as Santee has been on fire for the last few weeks but Mother Nature threw our anglers a curve as a strong coldfront moved thru the area Friday morning bringing with it winds of 20-30 mph on Friday. Saturdays forcast was supposed to be better with winds in the 10-20 mph range. I'm pretty sure we have some anglers who might not be happy with the weatherman as it BLEW again today making navigation difficult if not impossible in some areas and trashing other areas. 

But it's still Santee and someone's always going to catch'em!

Leading the pack was the Lex and Xan Costas who picked up the win with a HUGE Bag of 30.19 lbs including the Big Fish of the Day a 9.57 lb Brute! All together they took home over $5800 for the win! Congrats!

Finishing 2nd was the team of Freddie and Clark Gibbs who dropped 28.42 lbs on the scales to claim $1800

In 3rd was the team of Justin and Jordan Marlowe who were barely edged out of 2nd with a 28.30 lb Bag earning them $1200

In 4th were Errol Duckett and Jimmy Leshock with 20.32 lbs while Jonathan Brindle and David Grooms rounded out the top 5 with 19.37 lbs.
