Our 3rd Tournament of the year kicked off Friday night at Clarendon Hall where 60 teams gathered to enjoy some good food, fellowship and inspiration. Thanks to Trey Phillips and Summerton Baptist no one left hungy. Our anglers stepped up in a big way when they heard that our new Lowcountry Staff member John Byrd and his wife lost everything in a fire at their apartment complex while they were at church the Sunday after our last event. They presented John and Tiffany with a gift of $1500 and a new High-Performance Rainsuit and some really nice looking tackle. Special thanks to Errol Duckett and Duckett fishing for replacing all John's Rods and reels. Our anglers were then treated to a message by the BASS Chaplain Chris Wells about what it truely means to worship our Savior Jesus Christ.

Saturday morning broke overcast and chilly with a biting northeast wind but this is Santee and the fishing did not dissappoint. The father and son duo of Lex and Xan Costas dropped 30.67 lbs on the scales which included the Big Fish of the Tournament a 9.82 lb brute. Their second big fish weighed 9.30 lbs giving them over 19 lbs in just 2 of the fish in their 5 fish limit. Altogether they took home over $8300

Finishing 2nd were newcomers Brandon Evans and Gene Koskinski whose limit topped out at 25.55 lbs earning them over $2300 

Coming in 3rd was the team of Bryan Cook and Steve Harmon who brought 25.34 lbs to the scales earing them over $1700.

Finiishing 4th with 25.06 was the team of Dwight and Bradford Beavers and rounding out the top 5 was Keith Britt and Chad Crosby who brought 24.19 lbs to the scales. It took 18 lbs to get a check in 12th place.
