We have finally got the season started.  South Central Kys first stop was at Dale Hollow Lake in Burkesville Ky.  Burkesville Baptist Church once again hosted our Friday night meeting, this was the 17th year in a row that they have hosted us.  They always have the best pork shoulder and grilled chicken with Marks special bbq sauce and all the fixens and some amazing desserts.  After we got our bellies full, pastor Mark Shelton talked to us about standing up for something in a world that stands for nothing, and to make your life count for something, and to invite Christ into your life.  We had 3 renewed commitments and 1 that prayed for the first time. 

Saturday morning we had 37 teams blast off hoping to bring home the winning catch.  The team that did just that was brothers Jeff and John Carman, with a 5 fish limit weighing 21.02lbs and big fish weighing 5.14lbs.  Their total winnings was 2014.00, the Carmans caught their fish using crankbaits and spinnerbaits.  Second place goes to the team of Ted Grigsby and Dylan Hill with a limit weighing 16.89lbs for a total winnings of 812.00, they caught their fish on BC lures jigs in 2-5 feet of water.  In third place with a total weight of 16.27lbs was Keith Monson and Greg Profit.  Their total winnings was 574.00 and they caught a limit by fishing pockets with Cumberland Pro lures spinnerbaits.  Join us in April when we visit Laurel Lake in London Ky.
