Our third tournament of the year was held on Bayou Teche in Patterson. We had 34 boats!! Our meeting was held at the Church of God of Prophecy in Belle River, thank you Pastor Doug Watson. We had seafood gumbo, rice, potato salad and bread. Our message was given by our assistant director Winston Michel. The message was to make sure and keep our focus on God when in troubled times. What is impossible for man is possible for God!!!
The tournament began with prayer led by Winston Michel. The weather was mostly cloudy but extremely windy. Though size was a challenge for most, there were plenty limits caught. 1st place went to Alex Perret and Cary Beard with a weight of 11.56 lbs. 2nd place went to Malcolm Smith and Gary Christian with a weight of 10.92 lbs. 3rd place went to George Valentine and Jeremy Aaron with a weight of 10.68 lbs. 4th place went to Howard Hartley and Jarrod Aucoin with a weight of 10.42 lbs. 5th place went to Alex Heintze and Gary Haney with a weight of 9.52 lbs. 6th place was a tie between Mark Chenevert and Kobi Chenevert and Todd Murray and Brandon Dodson with a weight of 9.42lbs. Big bass also went to Alex Perret and Cary Beard with a weight of 4.42 lbs.
