I cannot believe the 2018 season has come and gone already! We unified as a Florida division, rather than the Florida Central division. This enabled us to visit new water, welcome new anglers from not only north Florida but other states as well. Most importantly, it allowed us to share our fellowship and the word of Jesus, with an expanded audience. Even at a Sonny’s BBQ!!! How cool is that?!? We celebrated amongst each other’s birthdays, additions to families and honored prayer request. Not only are we all brothers and sisters as God’s children but we truly are family here in Florida.
We shared a sunrise devotional on the lake to conclude our season. Bill the tournament director shared a message about God’s will. We all have prayers and the answer will not always be yes. It can also be no or not now. Sometimes we must also endure hardship as God wants to get our attention. It is at that time where we may find ourselves at the lowest point and turning to God for guidance, even if we never had a relationship with Him. It is never too late.
We enjoyed a beautiful a HOT sunny Florida day but, they fish were biting! Bill Rutkowski and Vince Lambert took first place with 23.49 lbs., Brian Nelson and Don Fisher took second with 18.40 lbs. and the 2018 SEASON POINT CHAMPIONS. Mike Robinson and Bryan Heaberlin took third with 15.62 lbs.
