Michael Kinard and Tony Lambert take home $3,212 at the NC Piedmont Division Opener on Lake Tillery.

Uwharrie Community Church hosted our Friday night event with a wholesome meal and wonderful hospitality.  Associate Pastor Eddie Connell spoke of two of his passions, Jesus and fishing as he presented the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We want to thank Pastor Ron Loflin and all of his staff at Uwharrie Community Church. Not only did they cook the meal they served it to our tables. We thank God for this Church and what they do here in the community. They are truly a serving Church.

Saturday morning started off with unseasonably warm temperatures and unfortunately FOG. After an hour and forty minute delay we blasted off 32 boats. The fishing on Lake Tillery had been mixed over the past few weeks and today was no different. 1^st place Michael Kinard & Tony Lambert-19.88 lbs. and collected winnings of $3212. 2^nd place and the big fish (6.21) went to CJ Johnston & Matt Stanley-19.26 lbs. and collected winnings of $1,160. 3^rd place went to Jayson & Scott Threadgill-14.52 lbs. with winnings of $700. Rounding out the teams in the money was Bobby Henderson & Tony Bush 4^th place 13.75 lbs. John and Bo Russell 5^th place 12.59 lbs. and Steve Singleton and A.L. Needham 6^th place with 12.39 lbs.
