Kerr Lake tournament info:

North Carolina Central held its third tournament of the year on March 24th out of Henderson point at Kerr Lake. We partnered with Central Baptist Church for our Friday night meeting. Pastor Randy Mann brought the message and did an outstanding job.His message concerned two things: How often are we taking inventory of our life and what is our participation level in our walk with God? In the busy lives that we lead today we can often lose sight of what are we doing for our Father. Are we actively seeking God? The Word tells us to "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God".

Yoggi Berra once said,"it's like deja vu all over again" and that is exactly how it felt Saturday morning. Much like the first two tournaments of the year it was cold and rainy with a good dose of wind. The popular thought was that the fishing was going to tough but we had a few teams that brought in good sacks of fish. David and Allen Farman came in with 18.17lbs which was almost identical to the limit they brought in at Falls a couple weeks earlier and just like Falls no one could top it. Congratulations to David and Allen for their second win in a row. If anyone is going to challenge them for the points title this year they need to make a big move at Gaston in a few weeks. In second place was the team of Chris Wood and Mark Sherrer and coming in third were the father and son team of Scott and Jack Haigler. Terry Smith brought in the big fish of today with a nice slaunch weighing in at 6.97 lbs. I believe everyone was happy to see Terry take that award. We didn't do a whole lot of talking about how the fish were caught because we were all frozen and ready to head home.

 Pepper and I would like to thank all of the anglers that came out to fish with us and all of our wonderful volunteers that work so hard. It is truly a blessing to be around such a great and dedicated group of Christians. Thanks to my son and his fiancee for coming and helping out with the pics. Our Gaston tournament will be held in a few weeks and we look forward to seeing everyone there.
