The North Carolina East Division of the Fishers of Men Team Series completed their third scheduled tournament of 2018 this past Saturday on the Chowan River. Thirty Four boats launched from the Bayside Marina on Pembroke Creek in search of the winning catch. The weather could not have been much better on Saturday with temperatures in the upper 80's with bluebird skies and light winds.
Our Friday night meeting was hosted by the First Assembly of God Church in Edenton. Pastor Randy Pierce prepared a wonderful meal that included fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and plenty of delicious deserts prepared by our ladies from the First Church of the Nazarene and Camden United Methodist Church. Pastor Randy Hughes delivered a powerful message that referenced 2 Corinthians 5 vs.11-17 that tells us to purify ourselves from everything that contaminates our body and spirit and to live for he who died for us and raised us again. Therefore, anyone who is in Christ, the new creation has come; The old has gone and new is here.
