The final District Championship of the 2018 season kicked off on Thursday night at the Pavillion on Torry Island in Belle Glade Florida where our anglers enjoyed a great meal courtesy of our Host The Palm Beach County Sports Commission and the Belle Glade Chamber of Commerce. After diner our anglers heard a message challenging them to intergrate their Faith into their everyday lives and not compartmentalize it. Thanks to our Host for an awesome meal and support!

The first day of the Tournament dawned with the first cold front of the year pushing through with North winds of 10-15 mph and tempertaures colling into the mid 50's, the coldest of the season so far.

As is always the case, a team will unlock the code to bringing in a nice bag of fish and today that was the Team of Joe O'Connell and Sean Osowski who brought a 5 fish limit weighing 15.76 lbs to the scales including 2 nice 4 and one half pound fish. coming in second on Day 1 was the team of Dan and Jeremy Smith whose limit pushed the scales to 13.11 lbs. In 3rd was the team of Greg Halford and Todd Schell who brought 11.99 lbs to the scales. In 4th was the Husband and Wife team of Steve and Trina Pritchard who weighed 11.43 lbs. Rounding out the top 5 was the team of Thomas Harden and William Brown who had 10.35 lbs including the Day 1 Big Fish a 4.89 lber.
