Our third tournament at Lake Springfield July 11, 2020 started out with bright skies and temps in the 70’s. We were blessed with a message from the Word of God delivered by Pastor Brad Ferris from Rochester Christian Church. Afterward 24 teams set out with hopes to catch their limit of 5 Bass. The temps rose up into the 90’s and the fishing was a lot tougher than what we have been experiencing. With water temps pushing 90 and fishing pressure over the course of a season we knew it was bound to happen, but there were still 8 teams who brought 5 fish limits to the scales. The team of John Osmer and Kim Chrisman would take the win with a total weight of 13.13 lbs earning them First Place money, Plaques and First in Bonus Bucks taking home $1,504.50. Congratulations John RodandReel and Kim on a great win!
Second Place was the husband and wife team of Brian and Lauri Lopp with 12.60 lbs earning them $806.50 including the Second Place in the Bonus Bucks. Third Place was the team of Jim Dietel and Kerry-Michelle Malone with 11.87 lbs earning them Third Place money and Bonus Bucks to take home $601.00. Finishing Fourth in the last money spot was the team of Paul Paskevicius and Matteo Turano with 11.58 lbs and the Scheels Big Bass of the derby of 3.49 lbs earning them $463.00 for Fourth Place and $500 for Big Bass totaling $863.00.
