Brown and Dunaway win on Watts Bar!!
Friday Night Meeting was at New Midway Baptist. This is one of the favorite stops on the Fishers of Men Tour because of all the great home cooking. After everyone was done eating the Dr. Ronny Jones delivered a heart-felt message about Zacchaeus and where is your tree. We had two make decision at this event. It was an awesome night!!
Saturday morning the Fishers of Men gang awoke to fridge cold air of 44 degrees and bluebird skies which means it is going to be another tough day to catch fish. But someone always figures it out.
First place Ameriprise Award went to Jack Dunaway and Barry Brown with 5 fish weighing 15.58 lbs. This seasoned team used a small crankbait and jig to catch their fish. Jack reported running his Mercury outboard down the lake to catch their fish as shallow as 2 feet deep. This team also had the lunker of the tournament a beautiful 5.40-pound largemouth bass. Impressive win!!
Second place went to the husband-and-wife Team Bert and Becca Satterfield with 5 bass weighing in at 15.43 lbs. This joyful couple reported that running their Mercury outboard all over beautiful Watts Bar Lake to catch their fish on a rattle trap and worm. Becca was quick to point out that the Lord blessed them with an awesome day of fishing and that he should get the glory. Awesome job guess!!
Third place went to the White Pine Pro-Staff team of Brian Jordan and Michael Smith who weighed in 3 fish at 8.09-pounds. Michael stated that they ran the Mercury powered boat down the lake, focusing on steeper banks to catch their fish. The lures of choice was a spinnerbait and a rattle-traps. This team is sponsored by White Pine Marine and Tote-Rite.
