Yesterday we had our 2nd event of the trail on Smith Mountain lake in Virginia. The weather was sunny and warm, and some teams were able to find good bags of fish to bring into the scales to land on top. With the BFL going on at the same time, the fishing was a little pressured making some teams areas more challenging than others but a few were able to c?apitialize.

Dennis Stump and Steve Crist from the Virginia division decided to join us in fellowship and fished our event and brought in 18 lbs. 14 oz. to capture first place finish! Congrats gentleman on a good bag! Thanks for coming!

Colton Fink and Jacob Lancaster was just short of first place with 18 lbs. 10 oz to take 2nd place. Colton and Jacob are new to the trail this year and had a little struggle on the first day with an average bag of weight but adjusted and made a great jump in points on the 2nd day with this 2nd place finish to get them closer to the top for Team Points Champions. Great job guys!

Dustin Dennis and Joe Osgood brought 18 lbs 4 oz to the scales to finish 3rd place. Joe Osgood landed a 6 Lb. 12 oz. largemouth to take big fish of the day! What a fish! This is Joes largest fish ever weighed in a tournament and gonna be a tough one to beat for the year in the trail! They finished 3rd the day before in our first event as well. This team has won Team Points Champions last 2 years and are bringing a strong start to trying to hold that title this year again. It’s gonna be a tight race to the end!

Rest of the field brought in nice bags of fish and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves once again. I appreciate and thank all of y’all for attending and see ya in 2 weeks at Stonewall Jackson Lake
