The final event of the 2023 SC Lowcountry season kicked off Friday night at Riverland Hills Baptist Church where our anglers enjoyed a great meal of Spagetti and Meatballs with all the fixins thanks to Brad Rutherford and his team of volunteers. After a good word from Josh Dry our anglers were ready to duke it out on Lake Murray to see who could take home the $6000 First Place payday and who would be crowned Points Champs.

Saturday would prove to be a scorcher with light winds making for a finiky bite but with this crowd of the best anglers in SC someone always figures them out!

Mike Watson and Craig McFadden proved to be the class of the field as they dropped 23.37 lbs on the scales including the days Big Bass a 6.82 lb Brute to take home the First place $3000 because they were one of our qualified Raffle ticket selling teams they also earned a $3000 Bonus when you add 1St Bonus Bucks and Big Fish altogether they earned over $6500 today pushing their seasons winning to over $10,000! Wow! Congratulations!

Finishing 2nd was the team of Jason Burroughs and Wesley Sandifer who weighed  22.14 earning them over $1600

In 3rd was the team of Dane Odom and Ross Burns who came into the event in 2nd place in the Points race. They weighed 18.89 lbs and took home over $1100.

Lee Sawyer and Cole Winn finished 4th with 16.13 lbs

Ronnie Mueller and Wayne Frierson rounded out the top 5 with 15.80 lbs

Congratulations to our 2023 Points Champs Darrell Shull and Jimmy Vining who finished 10th today which was enough to clain the Points title by a scant 4 points over Odom and Shull. They took home $4000 for earning the Points Champs title and earned a berth in the 2024 FOM National Championship in Flordia.

Next on the schedule is the 2023 District Championship on Lake Hartwell Oct 4th-6th (Note: This is a Thursday-Friday Tournament)
