The Friday night meeting was held at the Pizza King restaurant in Fishers. The parking was a bit of a challenge but our members always seem to make the best of any situation. Mark Schabel led us in prayer prior to our meal and while we filled our bellies the talk was hot and heavy about the bite for the next day. Division pastor Marshall Tucker gave us some words of inspiration and then we drew boat positions and handed out prizes.
The next day dawned with cloudy skies but great temperatures in the low 60s. After navigating the often-chaotic boat ramp everyone was on the water and raring to go. The day turned out to be beautiful with temps climbing into the 80s and sun showing behind some clouds.
The teams showed why Fishers of Men South has some of the top anglers in the state as two teams brought in 5 fish limits in excess of 20 lbs. Congratulations to Steve Boggs and Mark Schabel for their win with a bag of 20.96 and big bass of 6.53lbs. Also a special shout out to Elvin Shinolt and Mike Brewington for 2nd place of 20.9 and 2nd big bass of 6.42 lbs, This was a very close race and both of these teams represented our division with dignity and class

Friday night meeting will be at Pizza King 11228 Fall Creek rd. Indy 46256 and will start at 6:30 pm. 1 Member of the team must be in attendance to receive the meeting points.
We will take off at 7:10 AM and return at 4:00 PM. Off limits will start at 3:00 and will be the entire area in front of ramp to (starting at far-left dock as you face the water from the ramp) to the corner near the bridge. When your number is called idle past my boat and continue forward to the main lake to avoid the boats coming in from behind. Please do not hop on pad and pass others ahead of you immediately. Allow boat in front of you to go then you may pass when spread out. We want to get everyone on the water to catch the early morning bite as quickly as we can.
This is a 5 fish 14-inch tournament. You must cull on your 6th fish.
You must check in at the weigh in scales to avoid late penalties. Please check in even if you blank so we know everyone made it back safely. You may text me at 317 833 5588 if you leave early.
Scales will close at 4:30 pm. You must be in line to weigh in by 4:30. You may come from the water or from trailer, whichever is faster and easier for you.
Please mail entries by Friday April 7th to avoid late fees. Also, there will be a deadline of 5:00 pm Thursday 13th to transfer your entry to next tournament or ask for a refund. After 5 all entries will be tabulated, and boat positions drawn.
Boat positions will be drawn at the meeting and given out before we close. Boat number 1 will be raffled off and given a full 1 minute head start before we take off.
