It's hard to believe, but the West Boggs division of the Firefly Marine Weeknight Series has reached the half-way point in the season. This week's event was number four of the eight scheduled tournaments for 2023.

Fishing was still tough for most teams, but Gary and Nate higgins made it look easy when they brought a five fish limit to the scales that weighed 14.07 lb. That was good enough to take the win by nearly three pounds. It also moved them out of a tie for first place into the solo lead in the season points.

Coming off of the win in the last tournament, Chase Hall and Cameron Lane were able to keep the momentum up by bringing in 4 fish weighing 11.14 lb and taking second place.

Big fish honors went to David Jones (DJ) and Brian Hochstettler when they brought in a fish that tipped the scales at 4.25 lb.

Our next tournament night is May 16.
