The West Boggs Division of the Firefly Weknight Series is approaching the end of the 2023 season.

For the 7th event of the 8 tournament season, the weather cooperated as well as a few of the fish.

The new team of Bill and Logan Taylor were able to top the field with a 5-fish limit that weighed 15.72 lb. Their bag included the night's biggest bass, at 5.06 lb.

Coming in 2nd was David (DJ) Jones and Brian Hochstetler. Their limit, weighing 14.58 was also enough to move them up them up to 2nd place in the season points race.

With only one event remaining, the race for the Points Championship is looking like it's all going to come down to the last tournament. Ron and Sam Maxwell are in the lead with 1379. David (DJ) Jones and Brian Hochstetler are close behind them with 1375. Just 2 points behind them are Gary and Nate Higgins, with 1373. And still within reach is the team of Jeff Zuder and Brian Rusher with 1370.

After the final tournament, the top two teams will be invited to the 2023 Fishers of Men District 10 Championship on Patoka Lake in September.

Our next tournament night, which will be the final event of the 2023 season, is June 20.
